Our Horses
Donegal Danny (KY)
TB, GR/RO, G, FOALED APRIL 28, 2020
In exciting news, we’ve just added a new member to our equine family. I’m thrilled to confirm that we’ve acquired shares in a horse named Donegal Danny.
As some of you may know, I’m also a partner in Donegal Stables. Every year, their goal is to win the Kentucky Derby. While they haven’t achieved this feat yet, they have celebrated victories in some prestigious races, including the Travers and The Belmont Stakes.
Donegal Stables operates with a clear strategy. If a horse doesn’t demonstrate Derby-winning potential, it’s typically offloaded after two or three races. Recently, we noticed Donegal Danny was entered into a claiming race for the Brad Cox barn. Having raced only twice as a 3-year-old, both races admittedly fell short of expectations. However, they were both on Tapeta surfaces, which he didn’t seem to favor.
Despite these initial setbacks, we saw potential in Danny. We decided to take a chance on him and privately purchased him before the claiming race. He was originally bought for a steep $290,000 at the sales
Danny will start his journey with us by trying to break his maiden on the flat. But we also see potential for him in jump racing.

Adaliz (IRE)
Adaliz, a pedigree gem being a sister to Group 1 winner Adagio. They have been keeping a keen eye on her sire Waldpark, who has impressed them with outstanding results despite limited numbers. With her brother Adagio narrowly missing out on the Triumph Hurdle, Adaliz seems ready to hit the track sooner than later. She’s the first National Hunt horse Syndicates.Racing have with Henry De Bromhead, and they are thrilled about her prospects. Her initial target? The €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland Bumper next Easter.

St James The Great (KY)
The initial membership is for Racing Shares in St James the Great, who is a 2-year-old by Catholic Boy:
Bred by Machmer Hall, he is out of the stakes-placed That’s A Lady, who has one winner and one placed from two runners. The City Zip mare is one of five stakes performers out of Competition, with Competition’s half-sister Sortilege producing Grade 1 winner Sailor’s Valentine. This colt’s fourth dam is the multiple Grade 1 winner and stakes-producing dam Coup de Fusil.
He’s been with Keri Brion for three weeks now and has truly impressed her.
“I think VERY highly of this guy! He continues to impress me every day as we train on. He is a class act, handles gate work fabulously, and will have his first breeze down the lane this weekend.
I believe he’s a horse with a bright future”

We recently purchased “Holla at Your Boy,” a talented NY-bred horse with Saratoga 2023 in our sights. Our objective is to have him compete in a maiden race at the iconic Spa. 🏇
He showcased his potential last week at Delaware Park, running well in defeat and proving his love for the turf. With his affinity for sprint races and impressive performance, we believe he’s perfectly suited to secure a victory in a NY sprint!

Just Another One (IRE) – Atlantic Friends Racing
Has settled in well at Fair Hill and although he didn’t eat very much coming over the pond, he’s now eating up and getting used to his surroundings. Keri is going slow with him, allowing him a break and he will be aimed at a race at Colonial Downs in Virginia this summer.
He’s already a yard favorite as he’s a gentleman but a little shy but he’s as good as gold. Genuinely hoping he likes the quicker ground and has a chance to fulfill his potential over the jumps.
We have a tentative date set for Friday August 4th.

The Rest of Our Barn
TB, DK B/, F, FOALED APRIL 12, 2019
La Referi – Is with Nigel Hawke in the UK and she now has a mark of 68 after her latest run at Taunton. She is still learning the game, is a beautiful big, strong mare and looks a bit like Historic Heart in size and color. She has a very low mark of 68 and hoping she will benefit from her summer break.
Our Boy Wes – Keri Brion – Wes did us proud at Far Hills and almost got up to win. He ran third in his recent run against the top 3 Year olds in the USA. Should be one to watch in the Spring of 24.
Goddess Afrana – Nigel Hawke in the UK. Our new filly is a 3yo by Fracas as is Historic Heart and she has the option of going in a bumper (2m flat race) or juvenile hurdling. She is well thought of and still young and we’ll take our time with her and doing well at Nigel’s yard.
Theocrat – Keri Brion – Theo was found to have heat in one of his legs after some prep work on the flat. Keri is reluctant to race and we obviously have a good horse that we need to look after and don’t wish to jeopardize his career. He and Harry will be off until ’24 and hoping they can both put ’23 in the rear view mirror.
